These have 2 lips, 2 spurs and a centre brad point. Flutings are backed-off to give a radial relief and assist chip clearance. These groups of dowel drills are used mainly for drilling cross grained timber and particle board. Have tapered spurs. The complete drill head is made from Solid Carbide. These drills are recommended for hard or abrasive materials. These drills are not for use with routers and not suitable for masonry work.
