5 Function Combination Machine; Circular Saw, Spindle Moulder, Sliding Carriage, Planner & Thicknesser
With a cast iron table and heavy steel casing this superb combination machine offers the small workshop incredible versatility. A simple function selector switch starts and stops the machine.
Circular Saw; The Tungsten sawblade will give a cut of more than 2" at 90 degrees. The large table surface area enables rip cuts of up to 16" to be made using the fence. There is an accurate sliding mitre guage for small cross cut pieces and a full sliding carriage for crosscutting panels up to 24". Dust is collected from above the blade and below the blade from a single collection point of 100mm diameter.
Spindle Moulder; To use the spindle moulder the sawguard is removed and the saw blade lowered bolow the surface of the table. The moulder fence has a heavy cast iron body with large wooden fences. The fences are independantly adjustable to close right up on the cutter and to step out the back fence when a complete face is being removed. A hinged top allows the spindle to be quickly accessed for tooling changes. Top and front spring pressures ensure complete safety and firm placement of the work piece at all times. Dust and chips are collected via a 100mm outlet at the back of the fence.
Sliding Carriage; The sliding carriage consists of a cast iron table and bearing guides running along an aluminium extrusion. The fence can be used either infront of the work piece or behind it, the former giving a crosscut capacity of 700mm. The fence can be angled accurately between 90 and 45 degrees with a useful stop to quickly return to 90 degrees again. A hold down clamp and a length stop complete the equipment.
Supplied with 24 tooth TCT sawblade, Saw guard extraction hose, 100mm diameter dust extraction connector, mitre guide, push stick, cable & plug.
Planer Thicknesser; A solid and well finished planer thicknesser for the busy workshop. With cast iron beds, and a long tilting fence which can be positiones at any point across the table. The 3 knife cutterblock is powered by a 2hp induction motor and is capable of a cut up to 5mm deep in a single pass. To gain better visibility and access for thicknessing, both of the planing beds are hinged and swing out of the way. A dust hood / cutter gaurd is then swung into position. The feed roller drive, which features a rubber outfeed roller, can be disengaged when planing to save motor power and general wear.
