Router Baseplate

9' router base plate is small enough to leave permanently mounted to the router for freehand routing and easily inserts with the router into a shop-made table.
Most router table inserts are made large enough to accommodate the router's handles as it is lowered into the table from the top. A plate large enough for this can sag under the weight of the router. The Veritas Base Plate/Table Insert, with the router attached, can be easily inserted into the table from below without having to accommodate the handles, and its small diameter virtually eliminates sagging.
Install or remove the router from the table in seconds with no need to insert or remove a single screw or thread a cord anywhere first.
An anti-rotation device holds the plate firmly in place.
Ready-to-drill phenolic base plate comes undrilled for easy fitting to your router. Eliminates excessive universal mounting holes that could weaken the plate, trap chips, or catch against work. With the included hardware (positioning template, trammel bar, alignment pin, 82? countersink bit, and centering disc), drill the base plate to match your router base.

1-1/2' diameter center hole accepts 1-1/2' diameter template guides, table inserts and ring nuts.
