These end caps provide increased damping and, when removed, a cleaner marking line right into the corner. The well-designed retention mechanism holds the end caps firmly and securely. They also also equipped with well-proven, patented anti-skid stoppers so that the spirit level does not slip on smooth surfaces and so that you can hold it with one hand while you draw a clean marking line.
