These template jigs are a well proven means of routing out stair housings quickly and accurately. Heavy duty routers over 1600 watts like the Trend T10EK & T11EK are ideal for use with our staircase housing jigs. The templates are constructed from solid laminate and include a reversible fence for exact matching of stair strings. Standard TCT dovetail cutters are offered for various tread thicknesses for the closed tread staircase jig (Stair/A) - see below. The open tread staircase jig (Stair/B), incorporates a stub riser to conform with the building regulations.
